We are excited to have Matthew Roach join us to discuss Arizona’s Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) portal on heat risk factors and heat illness. The EPHT has data from national and local sources to view both environmental and health outcome data in one easily accessible place.
Matthew Roach is an Epidemiology Program Manager at the Arizona Department of Health Services and has been with the department for 8 years. He has a Master of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology from the University of South Florida. As the Principal Investigator for several CDC grants, Mr. Roach leads environmental health programs at the state health department; including the Environmental Public Health Tracking Program, Climate and Health Program, and Drinking Water Program. Mr. Roach holds an adjunct faculty position at the UA College of Public Health. He is also the lead author for Arizona’s Climate and Health Adaptation Plan.
